SIP trunking and VoIP services from Navigata now
available to Panasonic customers
MISSISSAUGA, ON (March 19, 2009) – Panasonic Canada Inc. and Navigata Communications Ltd. announced today SIP Trunking and relevant VoIP features will now be supported with Panasonic’s SIP-enabled systems across the country. This agreement continues to solidify Panasonic’s complete coast-to coast coverage of VoIP features across Canada.
The two companies recently completed interoperability testing and certified that the Network Communication Platform, KX-NCP, as well as Panasonic’s KX-TDE Hybrid-IP PBX Systems, and the KX-TDA30 Hybrid-IP PBX System, each designed to work for businesses with as few as four to as many as 256 employees, will work seamlessly with Navigata’s IP network.
“Panasonic is pleased to increase our commitment to convergence support with this agreement and provide our customers with more options particularly in Western Canada where Navigata has a tremendous presence," said Brian Cox, National Sales and Marketing Manager, CDSD-Telecommunications, Panasonic Canada. “We are striving to provide more solutions which will significantly reduce communication costs."
Navigata provides customized voice and data networking solutions to growing businesses that depend on technology to support their business success. The company offers a range of services including IP connectivity, dedicated high bandwidth Internet, data centre colocation, wide-area networking, long distance and conferencing.
Panasonic's SIP Trunking capabilities allow the Network Communications Platforms to communicate with a SIP service provider natively over an IP circuit. Panasonic platforms allow the IP circuit, transporting the SIP trunks, to be connected directly to the PBX system via the customers LAN without the need for expensive third party gateways. These services are designed to meet the requirements of today's businesses that need to support virtual presences, multiple locations, satellite offices, mobile work force, and tele-workers.
“We are very excited to be able to offer Panasonic customers the IP network connectivity they require to connect, collaborate and communicate better,” said Owen Gilbert, VP Carrier Sales at Navigata. “Interoperability with Panasonic systems will allow us to better help businesses leverage the power of their IP PBX investment.”
